Record-Breaking PSL Presence for Bangladesh Players, But BCB Restrictions Apply

A Historic PSL Contingent, But With Strings Attached

The Pakistan Super League (PSL) is set to witness a historic turnout of Bangladeshi talent! A record-breaking six Bangladeshi cricketers have been drafted to showcase their skills in this year’s high-octane tournament. However, the excitement comes with a caveat: the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has opted for a cautious approach, denying any player a full No Objection Certificate (NOC) due to the looming home series against New Zealand.

The Battle of Schedules

With international commitments taking center stage, the BCB is ensuring its players are available for the national squad. Consequently, all six stars will be forced to cut their PSL campaigns short. The PSL is officially set to roar into action on March 26.

Who is Playing Where?

The talent distribution across the franchises looks electric:

  • Lahore Qalandars: The duo of Mustafizur Rahman and Parvez Hossain Emon will be donning the Qalandars colors.
  • Peshawar Zalmi: A strong trio consisting of Nahid Rana, Shoriful Islam, and Tanzid Hasan Tamim will represent the Zalmi side.
  • Pindiz: The explosive Rishad Hossain, fresh from his title-winning heroics last season, switches to this new franchise.

Breaking Down the NOCs

The availability of these stars is a jigsaw puzzle of dates:

  • Mustafizur Rahman: He receives a split NOC, allowing him to play from March 26 to April 12, and then again from April 24 to May 3.
  • Parvez Hossain Emon: Granted permission to remain with his side until April 21.
  • Nahid Rana, Shoriful Islam, Tanzid Hasan Tamim, and Rishad Hossain: These four will have to report back by April 12, putting an early end to their tournament involvement.

While fans would love to see their heroes play the full duration of the PSL, the priority remains the upcoming battle against the Blackcaps. Stay tuned as these Bangladeshi icons look to leave their mark on the PSL stage, even if just for a fleeting moment!
