Tanzim Hasan Sakib Set for Explosive Return in Bangladesh vs New Zealand Series

Tanzim Hasan Sakib Poised for a High-Octane Comeback Against the Black Caps

The roar of the crowd is calling, and Bangladesh’s fiery pace-bowling all-rounder, Tanzim Hasan Sakib, is charging back! After a frustrating stint on the sidelines due to a nagging back injury—which forced him to miss the ODI series against Pakistan and the Bangladesh Cricket League (BCL)—the young gun is officially on the road to recovery.

The Road to Full Fitness

Tanzim has been grinding behind the scenes, working tirelessly with the national coaching staff and physiotherapists to regain his lethal form. A key figure in recent white-ball setups, including the Asia Cup, Tanzim is desperate to get back to terrorizing batters.

Sharing his progress with Cricbuzz, an optimistic Tanzim revealed: “You can say my rehabilitation process is almost complete, though it was very boring. I am currently bowling at around 70–80 percent intensity. Hopefully, after four more sessions, I will be able to bowl at 100 percent. If everything goes well, I expect to return to full intensity in early April.”

New Zealand Series: A Battle on Home Soil

The timing could not be more perfect. With the New Zealand series set to ignite the passion of Bangladeshi fans starting April 13, Tanzim is targeting that crucial window to unleash his pace once again. The upcoming tour promises to be a thrilling encounter featuring three ODIs and three T20Is:

  • ODI 1: April 17 – Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, Dhaka
  • ODI 2: April 20 – Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, Dhaka
  • ODI 3: April 23 – Chattogram
  • T20I 1: April 27 – Chattogram
  • T20I 2: April 29 – Chattogram
  • T20I 3: May 2 – Dhaka

As the Tigers prepare to lock horns with the Black Caps, the return of Tanzim Hasan Sakib adds a massive boost to the bowling attack. Will he be the difference-maker in this high-stakes series? Stay tuned, because the action is just heating up!
